Forever Entertainment and MegaPixel Studio have announced that The House of the Dead 2: Remake will be released for Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
The team has worked to remake the sequel to the classic rail shooter, in which AMS secret agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart are sent to investigate a small city after hostile creatures overrun it.
Whether solo or in co-op mode, you must neutralise the hordes of undead monsters standing in the way of discovering the source behind the infestation.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Remastered music (with the classic soundtrack also available in the game)
- Modern graphics
- Gameplay faithful to the original game
- Co-op mode
- Multiple endings and branching levels
They have also detailed the game’s three modes, which are:
- Classic Campaign: Almost two years after the events of the first instalment, AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart are deployed to investigate a city seized by undead creatures.
- Boss Mode: Take on the challenge of defeating the game’s bosses as fast as you can.
- Training Mode: Polish your skills in several available training scenarios to improve your abilities before deploying on a mission.
The House of the Dead 2: Remake will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Spring 2025.
