White Owls Inc. has confirmed that it has teamed up with PLAYISM to publish The Good Life on Nintendo Switch.

“As the release of The Good Life draws closer, we have some important news to share with everyone from whom we’ve received so much invaluable support for this project,” the developer explained in a Kickstarter update.

“Today, we are excited to announce our new publishing partner: PLAYISM! We’ve worked with them in the past, and we’re thrilled to partner up with them once again to bring The Good Life to as many players as possible.

“While this means that our collaboration with The Irregular Corporation will be coming to an end, the decision to part ways was mutual. The Irregular Corporation has been a great partner, and we appreciate all their support and input in bringing more Britishness to Rainy Woods.

“Development is in its final stretch, and we’re excited to get The Good Life into your hands this Fall, as we are putting our final, but required, last touches to the game.”

The Good Life is the next game from Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro which sees you play as Naomi, a journalist from New York.

After moving to a rural British town called Rainy Woods to pay off her “massive debt,” she must take pictures of what happens in the town and report on them to help clear it.

It turns out that “the happiest town in the world” is not your average town, and, on nights with a full moon, its inhabitants turn into dogs and cats.

You will live alongside the town’s residents as you work to solve mysteries and continue to experience “a hearty helping of craziness.”

The Good Life will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Fall 2021.
