Nintendo of America has announced plans to open a pop-up Galar Visitors Center at select cities across the United States, where fans can learn more about Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

The first Galar Visitors Center will be at PAX West this weekend (30th August – 2nd September), before moving on to other locations that will include the Los Angeles County Fair (11th – 15th September), State Fair of Texas (10th – 14th October).

Those that visit will be able to take their Galar region passport photo, speak with “tour guides” to learn more about regional activities and characters, and receive special themed items such as Galar region postcards and a travel brochure, while supplies last.

There’s also a special luggage tag inspired by the games for those that can show proof that they have pre-ordered the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusives, or pre-order on-site.

“Discovering a new region is part of the fun of diving into a new Pokémon adventure,” explains Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Nick Chavez.

“With this tourism-themed activity, we want fans of all ages to explore the region and learn about the people, places and things that make Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield so special.”

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 15th.
