Outright Games and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have shared new trailers for The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem, revealing the Wobbly Golf and Ball Crawl minigames.
This party game takes inspiration from one of the most iconic children’s books of all time, and welcomes you to “a world of playful chaos, laughter and unpredictable fun.”
From developer Casual Brothers, you can step into the shoes of characters like Sally, Johnny, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and Little Cat A, with the ever-mischievous Cat in the Hat and the cautious Fish guiding the action.
Whether playing solo or with up to four players in local multiplayer, there are two modes to participate in. In Find the Cat, you must turn the house upside down in your race to track down the elusive Cat in the Hat, with the other mode letting you compete in 18 minigames that range from capturing runaway penguins to decorating supersized cakes.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Elevate Your Game Night: The Cat in the Hat once said, “It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how.”
- Classic Dr. Seuss Characters: Everyone from the mischievous Dr. Seuss classic is here. Become smart and steady Sally, energetic wild card Johnny, cause double the trouble as Thing 1 & Thing 2 or be cheerful Little Cat A. And of course, the chaos conductor, The Cat in the Hat and anxiously wise Fish will be there to help, on this zany ride.
- Choose Your Mode For Non-Stop Fun: Play solo or go against your friends, choosing from two trick-filled game modes. Fancy a game of chase? Then ‘Find the Cat’ will have you turning the house upside down looking for The Cat in the Hat. Or maybe you prefer getting into chaotic challenges? See how quickly you can capture penguins, decorate a cake, and who knows what else in the 18 minigames you can choose from.
- Bounce, Chase and Paint To Win: But the fun doesn’t stop there, just like The Cat’s hat, it’ll be full of tricks. With varying difficulty levels, long challenges and short, there’s something for everyone.
- A Party For All Ages: Get ready for your house to be filled with giggles, groans, and glorious mayhem.
The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30 October 2026.
