NIS America and FURYU Corporation have announced that The Caligula Effect: Overdose will release on Nintendo Switch.

The JRPG, which had first released on PlayStation Vita in 2017, has enhanced visuals and gameplay, new scenarios, endings and the Forbidden Musician Route.

When a sentient vocaloid program named μ (Mu) creates a beautiful virtual realm called Mobius, people from the real world use it as an escape. Those that visit the realm transform into high school students where they can create their own “ideal self.”

But, as you begin to remember fragments of memories from the real world, you soon realise something is wrong…

You can use the Imaginary Chain to predict what your enemies will do next in turn-based battles, while you will have the chance to befriend more than 500 other students to improve your skills.

The Caligula Effect: Overdose will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2019.
