CIRCLE Entertainment and Amir Rajan have announced that A Dark Room will release on Nintendo Switch this week, a text-based adventure that adds a modern spin.
It promises to challenge your perceptions, actions, and imagination, presenting text and cues with limited visual flourishes.
The dark room that you start in has limited interactive options, but the experience soon evolves into a complex story with resource management.
There’s newly designed audio that helps to portray the dark world in your imagination, and you can play with physical controls or, in Handheld mode at least, using the touch screen. The user interface has also been enhanced, while additional developer commentaries and local co-op multiplayer have been added.
A Dark Room will release as a console exclusive on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on April 12th, priced at €6.99 ($6.99).
