The World Ends With You producer and artist Tetsuya Nomura was recently interviewed by Famitsu at E3 2016 last week.

The weekly Japanese magazine had touched on the Nintendo DS title, to which Nomura admitted that it had a particularly large following in western audiences. He is aware of continuous requests that a sequel be developed, and, while that won’t be an easy task, the possibility still hasn’t been completely ruled out.

If there was ever the chance to do so, Nomura would want to make sure that he has a strong enough development team that could create a sequel that would equal the original game.

Nomura had once indicated that it remained a personal favourite for him, and was never afraid to suggest that a sequel was on the cards.
