Monster Couch has announced that Tetsumo Party will release on Nintendo Switch next week, a couch co-op party game that takes inspiration from Japanese TV shows.

Sumo warriors have gathered to participate in an unconventional contest that challenges them to fit into funny-shaped holes in an approaching bamboo wall.

That will test your reflexes, as you must control each limb separately as the unforgiving bamboo walls rapidly make their advance.

With single-player, cooperative and versus local multiplayer modes, up to four players can compete against one another.

There are new characters to unlock and the chance to secure power-ups that waiters will serve up – just make sure that you keep one eye on the incoming wall.

Tetsumo Party will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 26th.
