Nintendo of Europe have announced that they are to release Tetris for Nintendo 3DS on October 21st.

Set to feature over 20 Tetris game modes, it promises to offer plenty of content that’ll keep even the most die-hard fans happy. These will include the already beloved Marathon Mode, non-stop battles in Computer Battle mode, race against the clock in Fever mode, hold on for as long as possible in Survival mode, or even utilise Augmented Reality cards within supported modes.

Further to this, a series of Party modes spice things up providing an array of new and challenging game modes that include: Fit, where you squeeze blocks into specifically shaped holes; Bombliss Plus, where you’ll be required to use bombs to explode blocks coming up from below; Capture, that sees you strategically cover stars on both sides of the Matrix with Tetriminos; and Jigsaw, in which you’ll solve picture puzzles or import your own pictures!

New items will also be made available for Fever mode through the SpotPass capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS.

Tetris for Nintendo 3DS also boasts a range of fun multiplayer options to keep you and your friends engrossed – five Local Multiplayer modes and three Download Play modes designed for up to eight people to enjoy at one time. World Battle and Friend Battle game modes also allow you to head online to compete against the rest of the world.
