Telltale Games has confirmed that Minecraft: Story Mode will see release through the Nintendo eShop on Wii U later this year.
It marks the first time that Mojang’s mega hit franchise will build a path toward release on Nintendo’s systems. However, it is unclear whether there are any plans for the sandbox title to follow.
Set within a Minecraft world, Story Mode is a five-part episodic adventure series that will see players journey to the Nether, the Farlands, the End and beyond.
Players will take control of protangonist Jesse – portrayed by actor Patton Oswalt – as he teams up with a group of friends to find The Order of the Stone to save their world from oblivion. As has become Telltale’s pedigree, you will direct the story’s flow through the decisions you make – whether that be in dialogue options or your response to more action-orientated scenes.
