Outright Games and Paramount Game Studios have shared a gameplay trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, which is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Based on Paramount Pictures‘ blockbuster film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, A Heartful of Games is the developer behind this story-driven 3D brawler-platformer that stars the world’s most cherished pizza-loving crime fighters.
The experience promises to ooze “high-energy gameplay” with “an engaging, original storyline.” After finally being accepted into society and achieving their dream of attending a regular high school, the Turtles’ newfound happiness is abruptly interrupted when a wave of mutants causes unrest across New York City.
Whether adventuring solo or teaming up with a friend in two-player local co-op, you will be able to play as the four masked heroes who each offer their own unique playstyle. Exploring the sewers and city streets of New York, you will meet familiar faces as the heroes in a half-shell get up to their latest chaotic capers.
“We’re pleased to share a first look at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, inspired by Paramount’s acclaimed 2023 film and the storied history of the TMNT franchise,” comments Outright Games managing director Stephanie Malham. “Working alongside AHeartfulofGames to create a truly immersive and interactive world, we hope fans new and old will be delighted to discover all we have in store!”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 18 October 2024.
