The villainous organization’s arrival in Pokémon GO has been teased for the past month, but the Team GO Rocket Invasion event has now started to occur in the location-based mobile game.
For this event, which at the time of writing only seems to be available to those with a Level 40 Trainer account, Team GO Rocket has captured certain PokéStops. These are grayed out and are marked with the Team GO Rocket “R” logo.
When the PokéStop’s Photo Disc is spun, there is the chance that you will battle against a Team GO Rocket grunt and their Shadow Pokémon.
If you win the battle, you will have the opportunity to catch the Shadow Pokémon which will know the move Frustration.
You can then use Stardust and Candy to purify the Pokémon, removing Frustration and replacing it with the move Return – which will be kept even you choose to evolve that Pokémon.
