Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that Tales of Berseria Remastered is in development for Nintendo Switch.
Pitched as “a tale of emotion versus reason,” Tales of Berseria was the first game in the series to have a female lead protagonist.
You play as Velvet Crowe, a young woman whose once kind demeanour has been overcome with a festering anger after she endured a traumatic experience three years prior to the game’s events. She joins a crew of pirates as they sail across the sea, visiting the many islands that make up the sacred kingdom of Midgand.
In porting the game, changes have been made to the remastered version to modernise the experience. From turning off destination icons and enemy encounters to letting you access the Grade Shop right from the start or increasing your character’s default movement speed by 1.2 times, it will also come with all the downloadable content from the original release, including character costumes, bonus items, and other fan-favourite extras.
Tales of Berseria Remastered will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 27 February 2026. You can get the Super Adventuring Assistance Set as a pre-order bonus, receiving in-game support items to aid you in your adventure that will include 10 Apple Gels, 10 Peach Gels, 10 Life Bottles, and 10 Panacea Bottles.
