Take-Two Interactive chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick has shared that the publisher is “very interested” in Nintendo NX, adding that they are keeping an eye on what Nintendo has planned for their “dedicated game platform.”

The publisher, who owns Rockstar Games and 2K Games, saw their presence at E3 2016 dominated by Mafia III, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, WWE 2K17 and NB 2K17.

“It could be very exciting. You never want to count Nintendo out,” Zelnick discussed with The Street prior to E3 2016. “They go quiet for a while and then they come to market and do something really exciting. We are very interested and watching closely the development of what Nintendo plans to do next.”

Take-Two had once been “skeptical” about whether Wii U could attract the audience their games were targeted at, although later went on to say that Nintendo remained an “important business partner.” The publisher had supported Wii with Bully: Scholarship Edition, Table Tennis, and New Carnival Games, as well as their Major League Baseball and NHL 2K series.
