Freedom Games and Sword and Axe have announced that their turn-based tactical RPG Dark Deity is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Taking inspiration from genre classics, you will have the chance to command 30 memorable characters – wielding their abilities in battle and experimenting with 50 unlockable classes.
With branching paths in the storyline, there are three difficulty settings to choose between, a built-in randomiser and a system called Grave Wounds that “reimagines” permadeath mechanics.
Rather than removing units from the party permanently, the Grave Wounds system gives a unit permanent stat penalties whenever their health reaches zero – in looking to emulate physical injuries or mental scars.
Dark Deity will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2022.
