NIS America and Happinet have announced that Brigandine: Abyss is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.
In this strategy RPG, you must manage resources and manoeuvre around the world map before zooming in to participate in hexagonal grid-based battles. The tactical gameplay of prior games of the series remains “intact,” meaning that you will have to consider every move carefully to survive.
You can select between six new story campaigns or choose to take control of any one of the 24 nations in Mission Mode. Whether you want to challenge your tactical acumen or take it easy, the publisher promises that Brigandine: Abyss has a route for you.
“This instalment of Brigandine tells the story of a powerful empire scheming to conquer the continent and six different protagonists who find themselves facing this great evil,” Happinet promotion team manager Chizuru Yonezawa explains in a PlayStation Blog post.
“The player can choose to play as the leader of one of six factions as they navigate events that will shape the history of the continent of Meltitea. Strategically command troops of monsters to overcome trial after trial – and bear witness to every twist and turn along the way!”
Brigandine: Abyss will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in 2026.
