CollectorVision Games has announced that they have been approved to become an official Nintendo Switch developer, meaning that Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan will now see release on the portable home console.

If you hadn’t guessed, this action-adventure will see you play as explorer Sydney Hunter who discovers that the feared Mayan deity Kukulkan has broken the Mayan calendar into six separate pieces, scattering them within the nearby pyramid. This causes chaos, ultimately risking that time itself will freeze if the pieces aren’t reunited.

With doomsday drawing ever closer, the local Mayans ask that Sydney recovers the pieces, defeats Kukulkan and restores peace and balance to the Mayan civilisation.

Sporting NES-style graphics and a chiptune soundtrack, players will explore six temples and three courtyards, battle eight powerful Mayan gods and mini bosses, and recover relics and weapon upgrades that will increase your chances of survival to prevent the impending apocalypse.

Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Q4 2017.
