JanduSoft and Grimorio of Games have confirmed that Sword of the Necromancer will now see release on Nintendo Switch next month.

“As much as we want to get Sword of the Necromancer into the hands of the players, it is more important that the game meets our vision first,” the developer explained.

“Releasing in January 2021, allows us to refine the game experience further and also avoid the craziness of the next-gen consoles launch window. Rest assured that the final product will be worth the wait.”

In this “dead raising roguelike” you play as former rogue Tama, who is determined to resurrect the priestess Koko who she swore to protect on her pilgrimage.

This leads Tama to a legendary crypt rumoured to hold the power to raise the dead, where she obtains the Sword of the Necromancer – a cursed relic that can resurrect dead monsters turning them into allies in the process.

That means that every enemy you defeat can be transformed into a battle companion, but nothing will last forever. Whenever you die you will need to choose between losing all of your gear or half of your level.

Sword of the Necromancer will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 28th January 2021.
