Wales Interactive and Little Army Studio have announced that Slasher: Origins is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This 2.5D auto-attack survival game with rogue-lite elements is set in Mephistopheles’ underworld, in which you will be challenged to navigate “chaotic, procedurally generated worlds with ever-increasing challenges.”
With a roster of 10 unique heroes who each have their own distinct backstories and abilities, you must battle to “survive an inferno of escalating darkness, blending noir and anime aesthetics.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Noir-Anime Art Style: A bold fusion of anime visuals and film-noir atmospheres.
- Hero Selection: Choose from 10 unique heroes with evolving abilities and unlockable skins.
- Deep Progression: Unlock powerful skills, weapons, and permanent upgrades as you battle through the underworld.
- Challenging Worlds: Conquer eight increasingly dangerous levels guarded by Mephistopheles’ powerful bosses.
- Endless Replayability: Procedurally generated levels and evolving hero builds ensure no two runs are the same.
- Cinematic Finishing Moves: Unleash devastating “Animated Ultras” to stylishly finish your foes.
Slasher: Origins will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Q1 2025.
