Daedalic Entertainment and Spitfire Interactive have announced that the “superhero epic” Capes will release on Nintendo Switch.
In this tactical turn-based superhero strategy game, you will be able to assemble a team of unique heroes who must fight to reclaim their city from the forces of evil.
20 years ago, the supervillains won. Since then, they have created a dystopian city in which developing superpowers is a crime and no one has dared to oppose them. That is, until now.
In doing so, you will play across “a series of dark and gritty campaigns and patrol assignments,” choosing to push the story forward or taking time to work through side missions to unlock more heroes. You can also earn skill points from completing challenges which can be used to increase your hero’s powers and abilities, and learn more about their lives and backstories.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:
- Be Mighty: Play as heroic protectors of the innocent, each with unique skills and powers. Master your hero and unleash devastating ultimate abilities!
- Assemble Your Team: Select the right team for the right mission. Combat isn’t based on random numbers, so choose wisely to win the day!
- Level Up: Complete challenging missions and side-quests to improve your heroes with new abilities and powerful upgrades!
- Defeat Evil: Face down vile villains and criminal corporate henchmen. Do you have what it takes to free your city from the clutches of villainy?
Capes will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2023.
