As promised by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata in late October, today has seen the company launch their new pre-load system.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the first title to put such system to use, allowing you to pre-purchase the game through the Nintendo eShop. This will see the majority of the game’s data transferred to your Wii U, with the final data needed to unlock the game being automatically downloaded at midnight on launch day.

That will be at midnight on Friday 21st November in North America and Friday 28th November in Europe, or 11pm GMT for those in the United Kingdom.

This pre-loading system is confirmed to have been rolled out to Wii U initially, with Nintendo 3DS support arriving next year.
