Nintendo has revealed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch, an extended segment in today’s Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 presentation revealing the news.

The mascot brawler will return with every single fighter that has ever featured since the series was first released on the Nintendo 64.

That means that fan favourite characters like Ice Climbers, Wolf, Solid Snake and Pokémon Trainer are back, with Ridley and Inkling to appear as new additions to the roster.

Matches can be played by as many as eight players, with a wide range of controller options including Nintendo GameCube controllers (original or newly designed), Joy-Con, or the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

All Super Smash Bros. series amiibo, as well as those from other series, are supported, letting you level up your favourite characters to fight alongside you.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on December 7th.
