In their near-daily Super Smash Blog updates, Nintendo has revealed that the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate soundtrack will have a Snipperclips remix.

The track Noisy Notebook, penned for the first world in the papery action-puzzler, has been arranged by Japanese composer Maki Kirioka, who, while having contributed to the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U soundtrack, is recognised more for her work on Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Zone of the Enders, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Whether it’s an early hint that a Snipperclips stage has been created for the mascot brawler is unclear, but developer SFB Games will surely be delighted to see their game at least receive some musical recognition in one of Nintendo’s most popular series.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on December 7th.
