Nintendo has revealed more about the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate soundtrack, specifically in that, when counting up all the tracks and other music used for in-game menus, there are around 900 compositions.

Collectively, the whole soundtrack lasts more than 28 hours, and the good news is that you will be able to listen to it with headphones even when the Nintendo Switch screen is turned off – in the same way as Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

The music selection is no longer restricted to a particular stage either, in that, say, when playing on a stage inspired by The Legend of Zelda, you will be able to listen to any track from the series – such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Main Theme.

The My Music feature will let also let you choose how often (or not) you hear a specific track, helping to personalise the experience as well as allowing you to hear your favourites more often.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on December 7th.
