Nintendo has announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s network services will briefly be taken offline this afternoon, in an effort “to improve your experience.”

That will see the mascot brawler’s online component temporarily become unavailable for a 30-minute window, from 3.30pm GMT (4.30pm CET).

“To improve your experience, we are temporarily taking Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s network services offline between 15:30 and 16:00 (UK time), including Online Play,” Nintendo explained. “We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
