Two days were all that were needed for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS to nearly surpass one million sales at retail.

Media Create have shared their latest sales stats, revealing that the anticipated brawler was able to shift 944,644 copies in the space of two days. Such demand allowed it to dominate the weekly sales chart, being 853,367 copies above its nearest competitor – Destiny on PlayStation 4.

Nintendo 3DS LL and 3DS sales remained strong with 31,602 and 7,967 units sold respectively, although it was Sony’s PlayStation 4 that saw the most significant climb – hardware sales jumping to 23,623 units from 7,299 the previous week. It was Destiny that helped spur that, with Koei Tecmo’s Samurai Warriors 4 the only other title for the console that made an appearance in the software chart.
