Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS sales soar past 2.8 million worldwide

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS made a thunderous charge into retailers across Europe, North America and Australia this past week, and has been met with a rapturous reception by fans around the globe.

Nintendo have confirmed that launches across each region, as well as those in Japan where the game launched on September 13th, have allowed sales to already climb past 2.8 million worldwide.

It’s a positive start, with such success set to only heighten as we move into the Christmas season when we can also look forward to experiencing the joy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and amiibo.
