Nintendo have announced at E3 2011 that plans are underway to develop the next instalment within the Super Smash Bros. franchise for both Nintendo 3DS and the newly announced Wii U.
Whilst both remain shrouded in secrecy as development continues, Nintendo’s global president Satoru Iwata commented that they would be compatible with each other in some form.
Both are due to release within 2012.
