Joypad Records have announced that ‘Super Metroid Symphony’ will go on sale next week.

This orchestration by the Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra is described as being “an hour long, 30-track symphonic homage to the iconic music from Nintendo’s classic video-game title, Super Metroid.”

Music from the original game has been remastered using a realistic virtual orchestra, aiming to build upon the soundtrack penned by Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano.

The album will release on March 19th 2013 coinciding with Super Metroid’s 19th anniversary celebrations, and can be downloaded through Loudr or iTunes.

You can catch a trailer below, and may find more information on the Super Metroid Symphony website.
