Team Meat has announced that Super Meat Boy will see release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch next month.

The tough-as-nails platformer will see you play as an animated cube of meat that is trying to save his girlfriend from an evil fetus in a jar that’s wearing a tux.

To rescue her, the meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles – sacrificing his own well being to save his damsel in distress.

With the developer having looked to return to the old school difficulty seen in NES releases such as Mega Man 2, Ghost and Goblins and Super Mario Bros. 2, it will see you survive through haunted hospitals, salt factories, and even hell itself in more than 300 single player levels.

Super Meat Boy will see release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on January 11th.
