Nintendo continues to expand on the Mystery Mushroom costumes seen in Super Mario Maker, with Statue Mario becoming the newest addition.
This can be unlocked by completing the Secrets of Statue Mario event course, whose listing reads: “From Super Mario Bros. 3, Statue Mario finally makes his Super Mario Maker debut! But there’s no Tanooki Suit in this game, and he can’t move on his own, so… I guess we’ll just have to carry him. He’s heavier than he looks, you know! Can you carry him all the way to the goal?”
Last week’s Nintendo Direct shared that the Wii U exclusive will receive a free software update this week, adding Super Expert Mode, 12 new Mystery Mushroom costumes and more tools for level creators to use.
