With Pokémon Day to be celebrated on February 27th, Super Mario Maker has joined in the celebrations surrounding the iconic franchise.
The “I Choose You!” event course is now available to play, which, upon completion, will allow players to unlock either a Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle Mystery Mushroom depending on their choice.
“This course is based on the beginning of any Pokémon trainer’s journey – from choosing your first partner in Professor Oak’s lab through reaching the first Gym,” the event course’s description reads. “Clear the course to unlock a costume of whichever Pokémon you chose! Unlike the original games, it shouldn’t be too hard to clear it multiple times and catch ’em all!”
This makes me more bitter the Pokémon Smash Amiibo costumes just use Mario sounds.
