Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
You will have the chance to “travel the cosmos with Mario in Super Mario Galaxy, then board Starship Mario in Super Mario Galaxy 2 with Yoshi as your companion.”
Each game has an improved user interface, the option to play with button and stick or motion controls, an in-game music player, new Storybook content and enhanced resolution. Those playing on Nintendo Switch 2 will also receive a free update that will add 4K resolution support for both games.
Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 2 October 2025. Each game will be available to purchase separately digitally.
