Super Mario 3D Land to include Assist Blocks and SpotPass Item Exchange

The rear retail packaging for the Japanese version of Super Mario 3D Land has revealed some nuggets of information regarding the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS title.

The packaging, which you can see below, provides further details regarding the game’s SpotPass support, revealing that you will be able to exchange items (amongst other things!) with other players.

Additionally, as seen previously in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the game will also incorporate Assist Blocks that will provide players with ‘Winged-P’ Blocks that will grant you a special power up if you repeatedly fail to conquer a certain section.
