Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has discussed the introduction of the Super Leaf item to the series.
This will grant all combatants with trademark ears and a tail, allowing players to float in the air. It is still undecided whether you will be able to whack one another with the tail, although we’re hoping that will be eventually be included.
“With the Super Leaf, any fighter can have ears and a tail,” Sakurai wrote on Miiverse. “You can also float in the air by pressing the jump button. We’re still figuring out whether you’ll be able to attack with the tail…”
Super Smash Bros. will release on 3DS this summer, and Wii U later this year.
