It has been confirmed that Summer Game Fest 2025 will return to Los Angeles from Friday 6 June – Monday 9 June 2025.
Remaining to be “a fan-first celebration of the future of video games,” the event will open with a two-hour Live Kickoff showcase event hosted by Geoff Keighley starting at 2pm PT (5pm ET / 10pm BST / 11pm CEST) on Friday 6 June. Streaming live from the state-of-the-art YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, public ticket sales will start later in Spring.
Produced by iam8bit, Summer Game Fest: Play Days returns as “the ultimate sneak preview event.” Providing three days of immersive exhibits and hands-on showcases in downtown Los Angeles for “the world’s top invited media and content creators,” with activations from more than 40 of the games industry’s top publishers.
A new addition for 2025 is a business-to-business thought leader event that will cover key changes, challenges and opportunities that face the global games industry while celebrating the cultural impact and importance of games. To take place in downtown Los Angeles, this will be curated by Christopher Dring (former head of GamesIndustry.biz) and Geoff Keighley (creator of E3 Coliseum and The Game Awards).
Summer Game Fest will also amplify other publisher and partner events and livestreams during the weekend, which includes the Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition which will broadcast online immediately after the Summer Game Fest Live Kickoff on Friday 6 June.
