Suicune, Gardevoir, and Pikachu join Pokkén Tournament roster

As revealed last week, Katsuhiro Harada from Bandai Namco Games made an appearance on Weekly Famitsu’s online series today to talk about Pokkén Tournament.

Their discussion immediately got off to a roaring start, with Pokémon Crystal mascot Suicune, the psychokinetic Gardevoir and mainstay Pikachu confirmed as additions to the arcade fighter’s character roster, joining Lucario and Machamp. A new gameplay trailer was shared showcasing each Pokémon in action, which we’ll share once it’s posted online.

Whereas they soon began playing live, successively using each Pokémon as they took each other on in an impromptu tournament.. This revealed that Support Set, or Assist Pokémon, can be called upon to help, with players freely moving around a circular battle area as they look to blast each other into oblivion.

Pokkén Tournament will release in arcades across Japan in 2015.
