Unknown Worlds Entertainment has announced that Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero will release on Nintendo Switch.

After crash landing on an alien ocean planet in your Life Pod, Subnautica will challenge you to dive underwater to explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs and winding cave systems. You will need to find water, food and resources to develop the equipment required to descend even deeper.

Whether crafting knives, lights, diving gear or personal watercraft, your ultimate goal is to uncover the mystery behind the planet that you now find yourself on.

In the sequel Subnautica: Below Zero you will find yourself in an arctic region of planet 4546B. Posted to a research station on the planet’s surface to study alien artifacts, disaster soon strikes and you must improvise to survive.

That will once again see you construct habitats, scavenge for resources, hunt for food and craft equipment as you explore snow-covered peaks and navigate treacherous ice floes on the ocean’s surface.

Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in early 2021.
