Steep On Nintendo Switch Has Been Cancelled

Ubisoft has announced that Steep is no longer in development for Nintendo Switch, choosing to create “live content and challenges” for the extreme sports game on other platforms.

There has been silence surrounding the port since it was first announced in January 2017, although, despite repeated assurances that it was still on the way, rumours had swirled that the port was troubled.

The admission that it was cancelled came today, as, when asked for news on the portable home console version, the official Steep Twitter account responded with:

“We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.”
