Nintendo of Europe have today announced that naval strategy-action game, Steel Diver, is due to release across Europe for Nintendo 3DS on May 6th.

Players are invited to submerge themselves within its watery world by taking control of their very own submarine, as they steer past obstacles and dodge attacks from enemy vessels.

You’ll be able to enjoy three different game modes – Mission, Periscope Strike and Steel Commander – each offering varied and fun submarine action in full glasses-free 3D. Mission mode will task you with carefully navigating an aquatic obstacle course as you aim to complete a series of objectives, whereas Periscope Strike will utilise the Nintendo 3DS’ gyro sensor as you locate and sink enemy ships.

Steel Commander mode offers an even deeper level of strategy, as you effectively hide your own ships whilst locating enemies on a grid map, using torpedoes to sink them. You can also share with friends and family by using Download Play, which opens up Steel Commander into a 2-player experience – your friend doesn’t even need to have a Game Card.

Steel Diver is due to launch exclusively for Nintendo 3DS across Europe on May 6th.
