Image & Form have confirmed that they have been able to introduce a cross-buy opportunity for SteamWorld Dig when it arrives on Wii U next week.
This will see those across Europe, Australia and New Zealand that own the Nintendo 3DS version receive a 25 percent discount when they purchase the indie mega hit on Wii U. Sadly that won’t be available to customers across North America, due to the mechanism to offer such deals not yet being in place.
“Unfortunately, NOA (Nintendo of America) does not have this mechanism in place – a cross-buy like this isn’t possible yet for our American customers, and we don’t know when they will have it,” the developer clarified. “Sorry, nothing we can do.”
SteamWorld Dig is currently available on Nintendo 3DS, and will release for Wii U in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand on August 28th.
