Image & Form has announced that SteamWorld Dig will release on Nintendo Switch, the platform mining adventure that started it all.

When lone mining steambot Rusty arrives at an old mining town in great need, he must dig his way through the old earth to recover riches before discovering the ancient threat that lurks below.

With strong Metroidvanian influences and the chance to explore an underground world full of secrets, treasure and terrors, the developer explains that having the game ported to Nintendo Switch has been the number one request that they have received since SteamWorld Dig 2 released on the plucky portable home console.

SteamWorld Dig will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on February 1st, priced at €9.99 ($9.99).
