After an extensive testing phase, Chucklefish had submitted Stardew Valley to Nintendo’s lot check process and, since then, have been nervously awaiting approval. That has now been given.

Chucklefish CEO Finn Brice soon shared that the farming simulator had “been approved,” and that they were now working “with all parties involved” to finalise a release date. He had explained the whole process in detail on Reddit last week.

With hand-me-down tools and little money to your name, Stardew Valley challenges players to live off the land and turn overgrown fields into the thriving business that it once was.

Stardew Valley will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in 2017.
