Whilst we were already made aware of a release date for Star Fox 64 3D through both a release schedule and its official website, Nintendo of Europe have today re-confirmed when the game will launch across the region. That date? September 9th, the same day that the game launches in North America.

A re-mastered version of the Nintendo 64 classic that features bold new 3D graphics, a faithfully restored script, fresh voiceovers, and a new multiplayer mode, Star Fox 64 3D will also allow you to use the handheld’s in-built gyro sensor to traverse battles more instinctively.

Within multiplayer you will be able to face up to three opponents through the Download Play option, battling across a range of game modes. In ‘Survival’ mode, you must outwit your enemies as you compete to be the last pilot remaining, whereas ‘Point Battle’ mode will see you aiming to be the first to achieve a set number of points by neutrailising your foes. Lastly, ‘Time Battle’ mode will pit you against the clock to take down your rivals as many times within the allotted time limit.

Nintendo of Europe have also announced that, for the first time, the game will be available localised into five languages – English, French, German, Italian and Spanish – meaning that players who could not play the game previously in their native language can now enjoy the full experience.

Star Fox 64 3D will release for Nintendo 3DS across both North America and Europe on September 9th.
