Squid and Octopi are at war in Splatoon’s single-player campaign

We haven’t heard any more about Splatoon since the ink-spewing third-person action shooter was revealed at E3 2014, but that changed with this week’s Nintendo Direct.

As we know, you will play as a squid that can freely switch into human-form so that you can mark your turf by splattering coloured ink everywhere. While online multiplayer is at Splatoon’s core, it will also encompass a single-player campaign that will pit you against an army of octopi equipped with their own arsenal of ink weaponry. See more in the trailer and screenshots below!

Splatoon will release exclusively for Wii U in Q2 2015.
