Tate Multimedia and Progress_Check have announced that Monolith: Rogue TD is in development for Nintendo Switch.
In this roguelike tower defence game, you take on the role of the villain. That will see you become the Monolith, an unstoppable force that falls from the sky to corrupt and reshape entire worlds.
You must build an empire of destruction, summoning towers, manipulating the battlefield and resisting waves of defenders determined to stop the corruption from spreading any further.
With a gameplay experience that blends classic tower defence with roguelike progression and deckbuilding mechanics, you will be challenged to survive for 30 days on each world by successfully defending the Monolith’s core.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Summon Towers: Deploy three tower types and six unique attack styles to destroy incoming defenders.
- Evolving Battlefields: Procedural worlds, shifting paths, and strange structures reshape every run.
- Defend Your Core: Fight against determined defenders and powerful bosses.
- Build Your Upgrade Deck: Choose from randomised upgrade cards to enhance towers, your core, and your strategy.
- Survive 30 Days: Hold your ground for 30 days to conquer the world — or fall and descend again.
Monolith: RogueTD will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide, with a release date or window unspecified.
