Splatoon’s Next Splatfest Is Pokémon Red Versus Pokémon Blue

Nintendo has announced that Splatoon’s next Splatfest will be presented by Pokémon, joining anniversary celebrations that mark 20 years since the first games launched in Japan.

That will see competitive Inklings choose whether Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue were their favourite game, with the Splatfest happening simultaneously around the world.

“BREAKING NEWS! We’ve just learned that the next Splatfest is being presented by none other than… drumroll, please… Pokémon!” the Squid Research Lab exclaims. “Head to the Inkopolis Plaza and select which game is your favorite: Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue!”

It will run in North America between 10pm PT on Friday 19th February right through to 10pm PT on Saturday 20th February. Whereas in Europe, that will see the Splatfest start at 4am GMT (5am CET) on Saturday 20th February running until 4am GMT (5am CET) on Sunday 21st February.
