Splatoon’s major update in August to enhance friend matchmaking

Nintendo have confirmed that they will deliver a major game update to Splatoon in August.

This will largely enhance friend matchmaking, introducing the option to allow four players to form together as a team before taking to the online multiplayer arena. Whereas there will also be a new chance to create private 8-player matches with friends.

Nintendo will also deliver a third Ranked Battle mode in ‘Rainmaker,’ as well as new items that will let you continue to customise your Inklings with new items.

Splatoon will launch exclusively for Wii U in Japan on May 28th, and everywhere else worldwide on May 29th.
