The Splatoon Global Testfire demo was released through the Nintendo eShop today, ahead of players being able to take part in three multiplayer sessions throughout Saturday 9th May.

While players can’t do much with the demo until the servers are live between certain hours, you can open the digital manual where it has been discovered that a ‘Colour Lock’ option has been incorporated.

The option’s description reads: “Lock the ink colours to specific combinations, for the benefit of players who have difficulty distinguishing certain colours.”

This clear consideration for those with vision deficiency will help those suffering from colour blindness, important for a game that revolves around splattering your team’s colours everywhere.

Splatoon will launch exclusively for Wii U in Japan on May 28th, and everywhere else worldwide on May 29th.
