Splatoon Global Testfire’s return hit by connectivity issues

The world was awaiting the Splatoon Global Testfire‘s return today, but it has instead been delivering ‘Error Code: 106-0112’ to those trying to access the demo in the short scheduled hour of availability.

Nintendo’s server operational status signalled that they had encountered problems from 11.13pm BST (3.13pm PT), sharing that there were intermittent connectivity issues arising from “a high concentration of people trying to access the service.”

Their message, which specifically relates to the Splatoon Global Testfire, reads: “Intermittently unable to connect currently, due to a high concentration of people trying to access the service. We apologise for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.”

If anything, we can at least hope that the Splatoon Global Testfire will allow Nintendo the chance to learn from stress testing the Nintendo Network – especially with the Wii U exclusive’s launch now less than a week away.

Splatoon will launch exclusively for Wii U in Japan on May 28th, and everywhere else worldwide on May 29th.
